What SiteJobs Is

SiteJobs operates as an employment business as defined by the Employment Agencies Act 1973 and the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003. We introduce work-seekers (workers) to hirers (employers) in the construction industry. Workers register for free. Employers pay a subscription to browse and contact workers directly.

SiteJobs complies with the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003. We do not charge workers any fees for finding or seeking work, as prohibited by Regulation 11.

Worker Accounts

Workers register free. You provide your name, phone, email, postcode, trade, and availability. Your profile is visible to verified employers. You are responsible for the accuracy of your information.

No fees to workers: In accordance with the Employment Agencies Act 1973 and the Conduct Regulations 2003, SiteJobs does not charge workers any fee for finding or seeking work, or for providing work-finding services. Our services to workers are entirely free.

Identity verification: In accordance with Regulation 19 of the Conduct Regulations 2003, SiteJobs verifies the identity of work-seekers through email verification and phone number validation. Employers are responsible for conducting their own identity checks before engagement.

Employer Accounts

Employers must provide a valid Companies House number. We verify this number against the UK Companies House API at registration to confirm the company exists and is active. The company name must match Companies House records. Sole traders are not accepted. Subscription fees are charged monthly. You may cancel at any time.

Employer identity verification: In accordance with Regulation 19 of the Conduct Regulations 2003, SiteJobs verifies hirers by confirming their Companies House registration and status. We do not accept sole traders or unregistered businesses.

TrustDPV Integration

SiteJobs integrates with TrustDPV, a third-party trust verification service. Workers and employers may link their TrustDPV profile to their SiteJobs account. When you do, we verify your TrustDPV username exists and cache your trust score and verification status. This information is displayed on your profile and in search results. You may remove your TrustDPV link at any time. TrustDPV is operated independently by TrustDPV Ltd. SiteJobs is not responsible for the accuracy or availability of TrustDPV data.

Companies House Verification

We use the UK Companies House API to verify employer registrations. When you register as an employer, we check that your Companies House number exists, that the company is active, and that the company name matches. We do not store your Companies House data beyond the number and name you provide. The verification status (Companies House verified) is displayed on employer profiles and job listings.

Direct Contact

SiteJobs facilitates direct contact between workers and employers. We are not a party to any employment relationship. We do not employ, vet, or guarantee any worker or employer.

Ticket Verification

Workers self-declare their tickets and certifications. In accordance with Regulation 21 of the Conduct Regulations 2003, it is the employer's responsibility to verify workers' tickets and qualifications before engagement. SiteJobs does not verify tickets or qualifications.

Right to Work

Workers may self-declare that they have the Right to Work in the UK by ticking a checkbox on their profile. This is a self-declaration only — it is not verification. SiteJobs does not verify, check, or confirm any worker's Right to Work status.

Workers who have not declared their Right to Work will not appear in employer search results and will not be able to search or apply for jobs on SiteJobs. This is a platform requirement, not a legal verification. Declaring Right to Work does not constitute proof — it simply means the worker has ticked a box confirming they have the right to work in the UK.

SiteJobs does not store workers' share codes or dates of birth. These are sensitive personal data that must be shared directly between the worker and employer. Employers who need to verify a worker's Right to Work must obtain the share code and date of birth directly from the worker and use the official HM Government verification service at gov.uk/prove-right-to-work.

It is the employer's sole legal responsibility to conduct Right to Work checks in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006 and the Immigration (Restriction on Employment) Order 2007. SiteJobs accepts no liability for any failure by an employer to conduct such checks, or for any inaccuracy in a worker's self-declaration.

Data Sharing Between Workers and Employers

By registering as a worker, you agree that the following information from your profile will be visible to employers on SiteJobs:

What is NOT shared on SiteJobs:

After contact: Once a worker and employer have made contact through SiteJobs, any further sharing of personal information (including share codes, dates of birth, full names, addresses, or any other data) is entirely between those two parties. SiteJobs is not a party to any off-platform communication and accepts no responsibility for how either party uses or protects information shared after initial contact.

Workers are under no obligation to provide their share code or date of birth to any employer. However, employers are legally required to verify a worker's Right to Work before employment begins. A worker's refusal to provide verification may affect an employer's decision to proceed.

Equal Opportunities

In accordance with the Equality Act 2010 and Regulation 34 of the Conduct Regulations 2003, SiteJobs does not discriminate on the grounds of age, sex, race, disability, sexual orientation, religion or belief, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy or maternity. All workers and employers have equal access to the platform regardless of protected characteristics. We do not permit users to specify discriminatory requirements in job listings or profiles.

Modern Slavery

SiteJobs is committed to ensuring that modern slavery and human trafficking do not take place in any part of our business or supply chain. We expect all employers using our platform to comply with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 where applicable. Any worker or employer who suspects modern slavery or forced labour should report it to the Modern Slavery Helpline on 0800 0121 700 or to the police.

User Content and Accuracy

You are solely responsible for all information you submit to SiteJobs. You must ensure that any information you provide is true, accurate, up-to-date, and not misleading. You must not submit content that is discriminatory, defamatory, offensive, obscene, or otherwise illegal, or that infringes the intellectual property rights of any person.

We reserve the right to remove any content or suspend any account that violates these terms, at our sole discretion, without notice or explanation.

SiteJobs may contain links to third-party websites, including the GOV.UK Right to Work verification service and TrustDPV. These links are provided for convenience only. Accessing third-party websites through links on SiteJobs is entirely at your own risk.

Service Availability

Whilst we make every effort to ensure SiteJobs is available and functioning correctly, the internet is not an inherently stable medium. Errors, omissions, interruptions, and delays may occur. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to the platform. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time without notice.

Consumer Rights

Employer subscriptions are subject to the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Subscription services must be performed with reasonable care and skill. Employers are entitled to a 14-day cooling-off period from the start of their subscription, during which they may cancel for a full refund. After the cooling-off period, cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are given for unused days in a billing period.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time, with or without notice, at our sole discretion. This includes but is not limited to accounts that violate these terms, accounts that are inactive for an extended period, or accounts that pose a risk to the platform or other users. Upon termination, your right to access the platform ceases immediately.

You may delete your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting us through the contact form. Upon deletion, your profile will be removed from search results. Personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Acceptable Use

You must not use SiteJobs for any unlawful purpose. You must not harass, threaten, spam, or misrepresent yourself or others. You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform, overload our systems, or use automated tools (bots, scrapers, or similar) to access or extract data from the site without our written permission.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and keep indemnified sitejobs.co.uk against all costs, expenses, claims, losses, damages, liabilities, or proceedings arising from your use or misuse of the platform, your breach of these terms, or any content you submit.

Limitation of Liability

SiteJobs is provided as-is. To the fullest extent permitted by law, sitejobs.co.uk is not liable for any dispute, loss, or damage arising from interactions between users, including but not limited to: any failure by an employer to verify a worker's Right to Work, qualifications, or identity; any inaccuracy in a worker's self-declaration; any loss arising from an employment relationship formed through the platform; or any breach of the Equality Act 2010 by any user.

We exclude all representations, warranties, and conditions relating to the platform to the maximum extent permitted by law. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

Data Protection

Your personal data is processed in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Full details of what we collect, how we use it, your rights, and how to exercise them are set out in our Privacy Policy.

Cookies

We use essential cookies only (session management and anti-spam verification). We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. Full details are in our Cookie Policy.

Changes

We may update these terms. Where changes are material, we will notify registered users by email. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by English law. Any disputes arising from these terms or the use of SiteJobs shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
